Hi Nick,(and everyone else!)like you i'd been away for a while but I was very impressed with the Bristol gig and it was extremely nice to get a wave from Ed and Brandi and a hug later too!The 30th anniversary tour at the venue where I first saw them in 1991 was just too good to miss! I blame Pete really but now it's Poole,Cardif and London as well in a van with old mates and one grown up son who was about 12 when I last saw him!!!Pete will be getting petrol money,a place to stay,a fry-up and a big man-hug from me so this deal works both ways! It's nice to be back and thanks for the London add Brandi! ;-) (I didn't spot you in Bristol Rad but it was nice to see Si,Joie,Blim,Ed & Jean and Dominic and of course the Ozrics for the 56th time!)

that's it!!! blame that bloody time portal on me !! this was always half the fun of Ozric gigs... all the colourful people... and even though I mention the miles, trust me, they just disappear when your travelling with good friends welcome home Rich x It's a shame Shaun can't come to London as he would have loved to see Ed and Jean again

Poole gig was good, Ozrics have a really nice tour coach by the looks of things with a trailer of kit on the back, must beat hotels every night. Hats of to them keeping that hectic schedule up.
Sound balance was not the best I heard, guitars low at first and a few little complaints from the band about stage monitor levels. Spoke briefly to Paul Hankin outside in the wind and thanked him for the great percussion work on Toltec Spring which is of obviously a big part of that track, he said some of the sounds were made with plastic piping and not congas, nice anecdote to share. Also being at an Ozric gig you like to people watch a bit, lots of cheerful vibey people, and I think Pete is the guy who features on the Sunrise Festival album with lady friend??? Not sure but having a guess (this could be completely wrong I am guessing ! was you wearing a kind of tea cosy hat ?)... anyway casually said "alright" to each other in passing and I meant to chat a bit more but you know it's all a bit frantic at gig countdown so people are busy getting prepared. Quite a few familiar faces in the audience a great and friendly crowd.
Still a bit wiped out after getting back home at 4am but great fun as always gotta make a few memories aintchya.
Keeping myself going with mugs of hot tea and coffee in my new "Erspongs" and "There is nothing" mugs !
Keep up the good work Ozrics, and wishing you energy and stamina. Will be at London gig Wednesday.
All the best for Cardiff.

Getting to Poole and back from Totnes was an insight into how shit British public transport is. What a bloody nightmare. However it was worth it to end up seeing the Ozrics again.
There seemed to be tech issues and monitor mix problems and I could see it was stressing Brandi, who wasn't as smiley as she was at Bristol. However the sound off stage was much better, and I have to say that Balasz's drumming was tighter, and he was stealing the show with a few 'flash git' drum fills. He kept reaching over to hit Paul's percussion cymbal as well, which made him and Paul look like a comedy duo!
Nice to see them again. Nice to chat after the gig, and I really can't wait till the next tour now. Go Ozrics!

Ok Pete no troubles... it was not the bloke on the merch stall (I had a red T-shirt on, bald here too, lot of bald Ozrics fans... more so than you might think)... anyway almost everyone at Ozrics gigs seem pretty right on... will be at London tomorrow. I hope they smash it proper tomorrow, you must be getting tired. I have just recovered in full since Saturday normally being rather reclusive. Look forwards to tomorrow. The weather down here has not been doing anyone any favours thats for sure. I ended up getting stuck for 3 hours in traffic on M25, chaos.

Saw the ozrics at the "Band in the wall" in Manchester last night. Full on, awesome gig. I went for 1 tee shirt and ended up buying all 6. But no tie die or luminous ones ? Never mind. I'm a dead man at home now. Hay Ho. ?

I did not comment on the new drummer before... but he drove it strong, he's good, hats off for getting in the Ozric groove at such short notice Balasz ! Same set list as previous gig but still great to watch London was wall to wall I am really happy about that, 30th Anniversary London they deserve nothing less after such an awful year. Onwards and upwards looking forwards to new CD releases to warm us up in winter.

Really enjoyed the Liverpool show and it was good to see Eddie (so sorry not to be able to talk more) and Pete (although we didn't speak). Missed Manchester though as girlfriend wanted to go to Cavern Club - the things we do for love. Bah! and double Bah! I think my life of going to gigs is coming to an end now

So good to see all my old friends as well last night, what a treat! I was lurking at the back of the hall as usual and melted into the night with a smile on my face.

Hello all, Just thought I'd share the love and link you to a few videos I took of the Liverpool and Manchester gigs: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfXa8BIHqwhHcPvIoK_yGSzIUctaF4kL4Enjoy! I know I did! I hope it's okay posting these here. If not, please let me know. (P.S. If the camera is a bit shaky from time to time, it's only because it was *so damn hard* to keep still while the Ozrics were rocking out and I was filming. There's only one video from the Manchester gig as I was far too busy dancing my nuts off to film any more!

Caught THe Ozrics in Poole , was the first time since the early 90's when I used to catch them a lot It was a wicked set...Fruit Salad lights were great.. it was nice to see such a wide range of people from all walks of life. THe music was spot on, and as usual the band were so tight live. I am sure there was an improvised version of Og Ha be, but my memory is a little blurred...not sure why...anyway I really enjoyed it, and can't wait to see you all again ...

Well, despite the crisis, Greece is still a popular tourist destination Eddie ... Although if the Ozrics keep skipping us on their European tours I might actually have to come up to London for a gig.
