Hi Eddie, festivals, especially abroad, are too much for me, financially and even physically. A gig, on the other hand, that's more like it. Two to two and a half hour set, lightshow and over and done within 4-5 hours, home sleeping like a baby.

Hi Pete, how do you find out about these gigs? ozrics.com doesn't go beyond 2012. Do you google ozrics live 2013? I don't want to miss a gig here.

hi matey, Bristol was a facebook invite (I don't really use facebook but do have an account and got an email about the invite) yes dutch date was grabbed from google search this morning..
I also have a gazillion venues websites favouritized that I check now and then (ticketing agents too) promoters have also informed me in the past via gig guide email (as do other people)
I can imagine brandi will put the dates up when there's a few more confirmed, tho if they start on their travels with more dates to confirm then they may not get up on the website.. I think that's what happened to the italian dates on last years tour

I read the news of the Ozric gigs in The Netherlands at www.dprp.net. I'll attend the Zoetermeer gig, looking forward to it already! I Saw the Ozrics last year in De Pul (Uden, The Netherlands) which is a very small venue. The crowd was really no bigger than 30 people, but that all enhanced the experience somehow. It was almost like a private concert. The band really seemed to have fun, even in front of such a small audience. Lots of interaction with the 'crowd' too, and the band sat down with a couple of fans after the gig, really nice. Although nothing will top my first Ozric live experience (Melkweg, The Max - Amsterdam). It was when Champignon was still in the band, and The Hidden Step was their latest work. Ending the show with The Throbbe, and I believe with a similar set to that of the Pongmaster's DVD. Then a few years later I saw them again, also in the Melkweg, but now with Brandi on synths - Spirals era. That show was decent, but just didn't have that magic. So when I went to their gig last year in Uden, I didn't expect that much anymore. How wrong was I! Brandi was stellar on bass, and last but not least: Ollie is an amazing drummer. He was tighter than tight, tighter than Schoo I believe. Maybe not as explosive, but he really nails the sequenced studio tracks on live drums in a way I didn't think was possible. I remember Ed saying: 'This'll be the last one for tonight', with me and my friend looking at each other, both hoping for our favorite track (Eternal Wheel). And then they played just that. Eternal Wheel. Such a moment of pure bliss and exstacy! And now they're returning again, and I just couldn't be happier. I'm so glad they're visiting The Netherlands once in a while.

Hi All,
Yes we will be in England for the end of the year but we will not be on tour the whole time! ...we have some family to check up on and various things to sort out, we've been gone for a while now... We have a euro tour coming together starting October 10th in Bristol currently extending to the first weekend of November... It's not long but it's pretty dense, at the moment it looks like 6 or 7 shows in England. We have a few festivals in August & and one in September in Belgium, talking to Israel for August, and India again about December, their talking about six shows there I hope it happens, but I still won't hold my breath yet... I'll be updating the website with the shows that are confirmed this weekend. . . Sorry for not giving you more info ATM, I'm super busy working on a pretty big project for Snapper, that will make the merch stall a very colourful and fun place to be on this next tour... =)

OK here goes... to be clear this is not a rant.....is it?
POSITIVE STUFF - Ed is improving, UK tour sates are announced, new material being recorded.
In light of the previous Ozric year we should all be eternally thankful that the Ozrics still exist.
I will be at the Bristol gig unless you decide to play closer to Cambridge. (Strawberry Fair Brandi?)
NOT SO POSITIVE STUFF - why is it that this board is not party to the latest relevant information. If a gig is announced surely it should be put up here first. A new (compilation) album comes out and Ozrics dont know about it...how can that be?
I personally have been a fan since 93 and i love the non commercial nature of the band, i also love how the lineup and subsequent sound has changed.
All of us as fans should pray that the Ozrics remain strong enough to continue making beautiful music. thanks
