I'm with you there spaced. My last Glasto was 03. What a load of tosh. Wouldn't go again even if all my fave acts were on. Tarmac it.

long time lurker, first time poster.
Why so down on Glasto, sure it has more than it's fair share of 'pop' crap. But you don't have to dig too far to find the gems. Just avoid the main stages.
Fingers crossed for the Ozrics at Glasto 10 (if not hope to see them at Beautiful Days)

I'll second Beautiful Days, that festi has been my staple for years now and every year hope forlornly that the Ozrics will play. Last saw them at Estern Haze a few years ago (not their best set) and am needing them to tour the UK again. Come on guys, do the UEA in 2010 please.

Well I'm down on glasto because : In order to maximise attendance and make more money for upside downheaded farmer they have put acts like Lilly allen Chart fodder on. Nobs then go to the festival. Thousands of em. They piss everywhere and it stinks after the 2nd day.
Once it had a magical feeling, that was lost during the "Summer of Love part 2" when upsidedownheaded farmer sent his security boys in to beat up the travellers (some of these travellers were brew crew dicks but not all of em were) and Hawkwind.
Its just an advert for chart fodder crap and Orange and o2 phone networks. It used to have a purpose did Glasto, Greenpeace, Socialism, CND. It dissseminates no political message anymore and serves to publicise banal shite. It is possible to go and have a good time Yes. Cos the Glade is there and Static and Posford and System 7 are on most years. But I am not willing to spend 10 hrs on a phone trying to book a ticket to only enjoy 10 hrs of good music. The rest of the time is spent staggering round in mud and piss listening to crap.

I dunno i'm thinking that its time to do glasto again. I like to go every 5 years or so just to remind myself just what a 120000 people festi is like. Its fun to hunt around and find the little pockets that still remain of what used to be a really cool gig. The old glasto is still there it just needs to be found. Did you hear that there is going to be no frsti in 2012? Make of that what you will.  |

The West coast Bar said gig was to be moved from December last year to Spring this year.
Not W' bar fault,me thinks.
So when is the gig.News to follow....ha ha ha.
