That was good, when was that recorded coz it looked like Merv and joie up there with Ed and john, couldn't make out the bassist either, picture was a bit dark, but again Erpland is just another one of those classic tunes that comes across even better live...nice find grerman.

Another good one is the footage from Silchester festival, forget about the picture though, you might as well have your eyes closed, but the music's pretty clear, sounds good its also forty five minutes long...

Yeah WATERMILL, those 'Dissolution' vids from GRERMAN were magic! That was so so cool.
So, help me out here - i'm forever learning and playing catch up... There's Ed and John, and is that Merv, Joie and Roly? And the guy on percussion - who's he?
Thanx guys...

It's hard to make out, but it looks pretty much like Merv, Roly and Joie, the percussionist maybe, but only maybe Marcus Carcuss.

actually i think it might be paul on percussion in the fridge video, any one of the old-timers can probably confirm that

I'll tell ya what your probably right Sparky, Paul Hankin. Its either him or Marcuss, there aint many photo's of the band, especially in those days i've noticed. I'm just going by the faces i know i can put names too and then limiting it down to the more obscure members. Another name i can't put a face to from the early days is Gavin Griffiths.

marcus usually wore hats as i recall, it's mostly certain it's paul in the fridge video... i'm gonna pop the DVD in the player to take another look
i know what gavin looks like nowadays, but have never seen a photo of him from back then...

I have the full video of Brixton Fridge ' 91 right here on DVD...And yes it is absolutely great stuff! Those days they were less dependant on the programmed sequences so there still was a lot of jamming going on. Oh, and this is what I know about the line-up: .·:*Line Up .·:*Özriç Tëntåçleš*:·. Merv = Drums John = Flute & vocals Ed = Lead Guitar Roly = Bass Paul = Congas Joie = Synths Haggis = Mix
Lightshow by Jasper' = Fruit salad
Track Titles CD 1 1- Space Jam 2 - Og Ha Be 3 - Erpland 4 - Snakepit 5 - Dissolution
Track Titles CD 2 6 - Sunscape 7 - Obscure Jazz Thing 8 - The Throbbe 9 - Sniffin' Dog 10 - Aum Riff Jam
I used to have a dvd of some outdoor concert where the recording start at night and they are just playing one long jam of about 1,5 hours, while gradually dawn is emerging. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it anywhere....I am going to start another search....

Scirzo I think the one you're looking for is the Silchester Festival 1988 vid... my copy is only about 45mins long though, I'd love to know if more footage of the gig exists.
Other gigs that are floating around include Tonbridge '89 and Pullens fest '90, which I think were both out on Dovetail orignally

The DVD that is titled Silchester festival is incorrectly titled, it is actually the elephant Fayre in cornwall 1987. I am sure of this because I was there with the band and they jammed with Harvey Bainbridge. This was the first time that the Ozrics met up with Hawkwind. The jam happened in a private field at the back of the infamous maze (people got stuck in this maze for hrs at a time and could not get out). I am sitting at the front watching them play on this DVD whilst recording the jam on Eds boom box.
The band next met up with Hawkwind at Keele university where they supported them in 1988.

The tonbridge and pullens festival vids were released by TASTE. They also released some vary rare vids of The Ullulators which I am still trying to get copys of, as well as some HW gigs.
TASTE was a low key kind of official bootleg label set up by some fans, the vids are ok but suffer from the usual dated low budget FX of cheap 80s releases.
