Hi hi! Sorry that I put my message here but I couldn't find an email address to message the band. Let me introduce myself in short, I'm Iris, a reporter/reviewer for House of Prog Radio (American Internet Radio Station) and Background Magazine (Dutch Internet Magazine, but all our articles are in English). I wonder if the band is interested in a gig review and for an interview right before their gig at the Boerderij Zoetermeer, Netherlands.

Not much chance to contact the band through this forum. I'd suggest trying the promoter.

hey Yiannis just a couple of days till gig. Hope you have a brilliant time Yes I've got supplies of both consciousness catalysers I'll be needing and everything sorted in my head except what I'm going to tell the band if I get the chance to speak to them - that's bound to be nerve-racking. Hopefully I'll be in just the right mindset to enjoy the gig at the fullest without quite losing touch with reality. And the band and sound engineer will do their respective jobs well too.

Finally saw the band last night in Tirana. I haven't been in their shows previously so I can't compare, but for me it was sublime. A couple of guys from RNL project mixed up with Ed and Silas and they truly rocked the place for about 25 minutes. Got the blue shirt with mandala for myself and a black one for my lady and a couple of cd-s signed by the band. I wished the band to have a delightful tour, the guys were simple and amazingly friendly. So, my obsession is now checked. I can die happy now greetings to all

This is really weird, the progamme for tonight says the Ozrics will play for an hour and a half. I don't understand that, I've never seen them do such a short set before. I hope there's been a mistake or if not, they change their minds.

Hi, just wondering whether anyone here is coming to the concert in Frankfurt Das Bett at 16th of march? I'm really curious how it will be, because its my first OT concert, althought I've been listening to them for quite some years now. Somehow they rarely give concerts in germany.
Greetings&Peace,
Mindtraveller

That was another great Ozrics gig. I liked it more than the one in 2012. First off, the setlist (not in order): O-I Sniffing Dog Oakum Xingu Saucers+Nakuru Sultana Detrii Plurnstyle Mooncalf Changa Masala Zenlike Creature Epiphlioy Eternal Wheel Sploosh Clearly, that was at least two hours, so I'm glad the timetable was completely ignored. The sound might have been the best I've ever heard at an Ozrics gig, after the low volume of the pad during the "chorus" in O-I, everything was crystal clear and very textured. As far as the playing goes, it might have been me, but I think Silas sounded crazier and much more evolved in his playing, as he took on most keyboard solos and did a better job than any time I've seen him before. Ed's guitar playing seemed meatier than the last few times I've seen them, more melodic and coherent (at least to me). Balazs on his own was what I had expected he would be, simple, tight and solid. The rolls were placed where they propelled the tune onward. But together with Brandi they were a formidable unit. Some bits were much heavier and tighter than I've ever heard them before, especially in the immaculately played Oakum, which was THE highlight for me. Also, maybe I was more attuned to what was going on on stage than usual, but Brandi's playing seemed more solid and with more dynamics than ever before. All the tunes were played at least well but Sniffing Dog, Oakum, Sultana Detrii, Xingu and Epiphlioy were mind blowing - and so was the evening's surprise, Plurnstyle. Totally unexpected and thoroughly enjoyed. The overall vibe I got was somewhat more relaxed than the last few times, but no less psychedelic at all. There was not much crowd banter, but it was replaced by beautiful ambient bridges, so I didn't mind that. I didn't get a chance to speak to anyone in the band but that was all right. Got myself a Pungent mandala blue t-shirt as well. All in all although falling only a tiny little bit short of the 2010 show, which was one of the five best ever I've seen, it was a fantastic show. It lacked some classics from the first three or four albums, but having seen most of those a few times before I didn't miss them at all; in fact the non-standard setlist was one of the aspects of the gig I enjoyed the most.
Hope it doesn't take as long to see them again.

report from thessaloniki gig,i agree with you Yiannis, the best sound i've ever heard in an Ozric concert,Silas was the highlight and when they played Plurnstyle (for the first time ever in a tour i think) i shuddered, the set list was the same with Athens.

So I'm hoping to see Ian 'ozhead' also known as freakflag the gent who did my picture of Ed Wynne that hangs on my wall, Dominic and Kitty who rode back from Alkmaar on train to Amsterdam last year with me, Damian and hopefully Watermill who used to be a supreme poster on this site, 'Birdyhop' Dominic. Do hope to see all band members before their performance if not hope I get a wave from Balazs. Sadly I'm told no Pete but then he has seen O.T 120 times. If anyone on here is going and would like to meet me I shall be near the front with my blonde girl friend.

Wow, can't believe that they have included Plurnstye on the set list. Really excited to hear it live as its one of my all time favourite tracks.
The Islington gig will be my second time seeing Ozrics live, first one being Glasgow ABC show last year. I'd love to meet some other fans so keep an eye out for a (Northern) Irish guy with colourful tattoos and a pint!

Pixel dream is a cracker. I'm surprised its not a feature of their set, its got a sweet bass line. Shaping the pelm would be another track I'd love to hear, its the perfect sound track to the series of books I have been reading the past few years.

I've chatted to all the members of the current band and also Jon. It was at Chapel st. Leanard that I chatted to Jon for nearly an hour and 15 minutes at the Mean Fiddler Tottenham Court Road as ex-member.

Dominic who has drummed twice for band is a friend and often we chat. Seen him perform as drummer at Eastern Haze, he also has been merchman on gigs I've been to.
