I,ve posted about Spice Doubt before, but to me it really is an enigma. It was a live session of great tunes from the Curious Corn era, streamed across the ether and virtually never been seen by anyone. So bearing this in mind, the Spice Doubt live session, was it ever filmed and is there anyway that it could be released as a dvd with maybe a full 5.1 sound job done on it. I've got the cd but i would love to see it and i believe ( and i could be wrong ), probably the majority of us have only ever heard it. If that was released, it would be well snapped up. After all its a key point in music history, but because its only the Ozrics it may not be regarded as such by many, but its gotta be the first time a band fully utilised the internet, such as it was back then and it was experimental at the time. Bowie and Radiohead get credited alot for their use of the net and i believe they have done such type of live sessions and pioneered it since, but the Ozrics were there and it may have been Spice Doubt that gave the likes of Bowie and Radiohead the inclination in the first place. For this reason alone i believe that makes it important enough to be released, and as an Ozric fan, it really would be a great addition to my collection... So if it weren't filmed, fair enough, this postings for nothing, but if it was, whats in the way of it being released.

Well said mate. I guess the Ozric's will never get the accolades they truly deserve. On flicking through the pics of the session on this site (Ozric webcast June 11th 1998) - there doesn't seem to be any evidence of a camera crew in the studio, shame.

Aught to do something like that again, what with broadband about now, it should come across even better, watching it as a live experience and this time, film it and release it on dvd...its been nearly ten years now, not a better time to do it...June 11th, mark the anniversary...wicked, .
