2 newish tunes. I'll probably get roasted about my tune titles now, after criticising the quality control of recent Ozrics song title output....ha ha. Fair enough though

If you can cope with a really strange and odd drumbeat, I've got a new tune called: "De Blunk (ton)" up on myspace.com/adrianherzog

Fresh tune, not very guitaristic. Titled 'Deckard'.

Hey Orpheus,
Really nice track. It was the first music I heard today. The image seems to move when you stare at it for a while:)
thanks

I actually spent ages trying out animations in windows movie maker but found them all too cheesy so it's good to know the untouched image moves all of its own accord ha ha

Nice and floaty Kev Cool subtle guitar work, a cross between Hillage and Gilmour.

i had listen to "Javedihm" it would be great to hear this song through a big pa in a festival or a club. maybe that would be a good aspiration for the near future ? ozric support slot perhaps ? keep up the good work/living the dream by the way can i share my soundcloud with you ? soundcloud.com/search?q%5Bfulltext%5D=damien+redmond

Fresh tune, not very guitaristic. Titled 'Deckard'. orpheus .you are a very talented musician . you created the space in this song, the harmonic structure of the chords with the glissando melody in a tasteful yet engaging way. the music would make a good soundtrack to reading a science fiction book ("do androids dream of electronic sheep?" ), or playing a game of chess.

Thank you Damien, the title was hurriedly tagged on at the end as is usually the way with me. I did think the music reminded me of the steamscapes of Bladerunner though

www.nicktoone.com/_sgg/m2m1_1.htmI've uploaded a new album of material to my website. 'Circles of Silence' is a four-track 60+ minute collection of beatless ambient music. Think 'Rainbow Dome Music' and you're in the right area stylistically.

Nice one Nick, I like the fact that it's not what I refer to as 'deathly music' i.e. just a repetitive breeze-like drone with the occasional sound, like a couple of times in a 10 minute tune.
How come you're not properly on discogs? You release your material to the public, it's not private p2p stuff.

Probably because it's not 'hard copy' - I only deal in digital now.

There's plenty of digital-only music on discogs. I think you should put it up. In fact, if you put up the Erpitaph compilations all the participating artists would be linked to the Ozrics and that might actually generate interest. If you've got the original CDs with label info and the like it will look absolutely professional - I only have the downloads and can't see any of this info.

Great stuff Nick listened to this in bed last few nights very 'rainbow dome' in places, and a bit 'Floyd' too Good time to share a track I did around 1995 ish called 'Oceangate', Recorded when I lived in Kingston Upon Thames , west london. Full version on Soundcloud.... soundcloud.com/christian-d-harrad/oceangate-1995. I stayed up over two nights (with sleep in between) smoking much herbs and improvised the whole thing onto a 4 tack cassette, 2 tracks of synth/'ambient sounds , one of guitar and one of zither. Its 22 minutes because that was the maximum length I could record on a 90 minute cassette, the machine used both sides at once and ran at double speed for better quality, it used twice as much tape for the 'information'.

Well after a gap of *mumble* years I'm trying my hand at some music making again. Nowhere near the quality and professionalism of the 'real' tracks on this thread (there is going to be a fair amount of listening to everyones music over the next few days!) - but it's a start and I enjoy the challenge of trying to work it all out. Not sure what genre it really is ('eletrocrap' perhaps) but here it is: soundcloud.com/acollectionofnotes:-) Jan

What synths/recording gear are you using Jan? Plenty of atmosphere there

What synths/recording gear are you using Jan? Plenty of atmosphere there Errm - I'm using ONLY Nanostudio running on an iPod Touch with some samples form the Ellatron app (emulates the good old Mellotron) and a few samples from a Yamaha SY35. All rendered to WAV then uploaded to Soundcloud. The current version of Nanostudio gives upto 16 tracks that can be assinged to synthesis or drum pads. The in built synth (Eden) is dual oscillator, mutliple filter types, mutiple envelopes, LFO routing with 2 X/Y modulation contollers. Also a number of effects that can be global or insert as needed. Tracks can be re-sampled and either assinged to a drum pad or reused as a sample source in the Eden synth (but no multi samples). When I found out about the software (and there is a Mac/Windows free download so you can try it) it was a must have as it gave me a way to indulge my interest in synthesis without spending lots (cost of a second hand iPod Touch 2G and the £8.99 to buy Nanostudio). Will be burning a CD + cover art later today I think! Thank you for making this available. Jan

Thanks for the comments Orpheus, glad you like the tunes, and Damien too, although I wouldn't say I'm living the dream, just messing around with synths and guitar. There's no Ozrics sampling going on OTL, but cool you're into it Getting on with phase 2 now

no samples??! wow - it's amazing - i still thought it was amazing when i thought it had samples - i didn't mean to say it was remixed from them in any way - i meant to think you had managed to squeeze some ozric samples in there along with your own makings to bend our heads that little bit more - in any case it gives me the idea too... so, cool ! thanks for existing !

Thank you Philly. It's good to have some encouragement during this period of drawn-out waiting (I know all of us who are still waiting can use it.)
