Cheers fot the erpitaph downloads nick, i was wondering however; the original cd erpitaphs, did they have any kind of light scribing or sticker on the actual cd? or was it just a cd-r job? Also does anyone have any reasonable suggestions as to which kind of paper is suitable to print the artworks onto to get a good result? cheers guys

I used to print all my inlays onto matt photo paper, usually gave good results.

Ok no real news but more just to keep this thread alive, I'm currently working on my tune, seeing as I've finished up other music projects for now. It's nice not to feel so troubled if it sounds way too Ozricy, for once! Wondering if soundcloud could be an option for Erp3, much as I like the idea of a disc with artwork...You can upload flac on soundcloud so people could download HQ audio files, convert to wav and burn their own disc at least.

Anything will do really, as far as I'm concerned. I have the downloaded versions of the first two parts anyway. This way cost will probably be reduced too.

I've done a version of Papyrus if anyone's interested. Did it awhile back and it's on CDR...

This is the difficulty, I don't have a computer set up at home (doing this from work). I'll see if I can get a friend to upload it onto some music sharing thingy like the aforementioned Soundcloud.

we already have a track 'in the can' so to speak for this... we just need to know... where or how we should submit the master for inclusion of vibrant flux's code fer chickendon ? Hey etherealise... A couple years later and we've finally uploaded our ozrics' cover on rapidshare and emailed the link as suggested. ...(I guess this will work...Let us know that you've downloaded it okay. and what you think of the track as well, of course!). Vibrant Flux should also state here for the record... This will seem sort of a mash-dub version when compared to the Ozric's original Code for Chickendon. This Vibrant Flux take was from a recording done in the Spring of 2009 during a live sound check. Following this was a session of original music. Vibrant Flux was by nature not designed to be a cover band, and, as you may hear... a few liberties were taken with the original ozrics' piece. But it was all done spontaneously, in one take, just for fun, and, perhaps it was done in good enough taste, as well... (since there is mucho respect amongst VF for all things Ozric, including the fans and this message board and website)... Perhaps, also, this track is recognizable enough for inclusion since Vibrant Flux approves of the inclusion of their recording...and have already even made an attempt to get the Ozrics a copy of it to hear...unsure, still, if they ever received it.

How about making the rapidshare link available to anyone interested? And maybe even tagging your jam after it? I'd like to hear your version. Alternatively, you could upload it on your official website.
I wouldn't worry about comparisons either. I guess if it's competently played that's good enough.

Alright yiannis ... I will run it by the band mates about how freely to share this pending its public release being as part of a whole compilation, we want to hear how all the different tracks come together in the end ... For now I don't think we will be posting it on our official band site since we are about to post a lot of media from our upcoming original CD (Sound Geese Relic). Meanwhile, I did try to PM you the rapid share link since you have expressed your interest in a timely and direct manner... cheers... tell us if the link does the job it is supposed to ... or if we need to do something different to get the track through to the proper channels ...(BTW the file is in .aiff format.)

Many thanks for sharing. I've had a listen and though it's not my cup of tea, the fact that you've tried to bring it closer to your style defines the term cover. There's very little in common with the original but that shows more respect than doing a version identical to the Ozrics. Being inspired is one thing and copying another.
May I take this opportunity to say that Orpheus' covers - especially Fetch me the Pongmaster - and most OB-test covers are well worthy of praise and deserve to be listened to by more than a few of us here.

Oh and after all this talk and nobody quite wanting to actually make it happen I wouldn't hold my breath. Not blaming anyone here, but I reckon it'll be a long while before Erpitaph 3 happens, even in digital form. So people, if you want, post links to your work here, at least some people outside your circle of friends will have the chance to listen to it.

Yeah its more of a mash-up of the intro than a cover 'innit? Nevertheless... it is what it is... Since plans for a Erpitaph III comp. have been floundering as suggested... We're posting the link below to the track Vibrant Flux vs (Partial) Code for Chickendon on rapidshare, as submitted for consideration towards an Erpitaph III... for any interested parties, get it while it lasts... rapidshare.com/files/1498276987/VibrantFluxVsPartialCode4Chickendon.aif

Etherialise doesn't actually post on here any more secretname, but maybe one of the posters who posts regularly on psychobabblers (Damien) will pass on your info? I must admit, my own Ozrics covers have been more in the way of being close to the originals, but all done with the greatest respect and love

Well, I have a Space Between Your Ears cover and an Ozric pastiche tune without homes - which will seem like pointless vanity and plagiarism outside the context of an Ozric tribute.
How about an Ozric tribute channel on YouTube? Probably get more listens and contributions than an exclusively distributed disc?
