I don't think so, but it has a sort of O-I feeling to it.

Another question: on the vynil release of Travellers Aid Trust there's a Ozrics track titled To do with circles. Does it have anything to do with (no pun intended) To do with spheres, available for download at ozrics.com? It must be a live jam, isn't it?

Have you turned welsh mate ? (Sorry its a regional accent thing, that probably makes no sense to you)
I dunno, Only heard to do with circles once (it wasn't on the cd version of TAT) and not heard this new track yet.

So maybe this track would be a prime candidate for download since it's never appeared on CD. Brandi (and/or Silas)?

Weren't quite sure what thread to put this on and it ain't worthy of it's own, but i watched a pretty good film last night on Sky called The International starring Clive Owen, it's a thriller all about arms dealing and the lengths banks and big corporations go to keeping secrets, making more money, the control of debt around the world and in the background the control of politics. Its a real modern thriller and one that touches the issues of today about as i said debt, but also it eludes to how some of these terrorist organizations maybe acquiring their arms. It was really an absorbing thriller that although was modern, it had the pacing of some of those old seventies cold war thrillers. If your stuck at a loose end tonight, check it out.

Its some kind of retribitition from our adminstrator for me smiting Damien Redmond to the same value.
It doesn't bother me in the slightest, I think it's funny. I think it's even funnier that Damo was that bothered he contacted Mike to complain.
Ner ner nee ner Damo !

Let's hope that is the case Kirk and not some sort of monitoring of supposedly private activities. The karma thing is daft in my opinion anyway. If anyone has a problem they can talk about it...unless of course one person says they refuse to speak to another person anymore

Yes, I saw it too. Very good. Had a bit of twist with the debt and arms angle that I didn't expect -- always like that!

Has anybody else seen Avatar? Loved it! Saw it twice in the theater in 3-D and have the DVD on order. Sure the plot is familiar but the special effects pretty awesome.

I saw the Avatar trailer in Germany and loved the music they put over it...so I downloaded the soundtrack illegaly and the music was crass, awful, Hollywood-lite. As for the movie, if I want to see a film for special effects I will watch Blade Runner, which has a pretty decent plot and acting too. This film just struck me as being about egos and money as usual - especially when that tosser Cameron said "ooh...we don't know if it will do well, it's a big risk" f**k off Mr. King of the World

Yeah I didn't like the look of Avatar either, it looks so overblown. 'Moon' & 'District 9' are sci fi films much more worthy of attention IMHO.

I'm glad you said that. Because even though I love Moon and District 9, I've never had any real interest in seeing Avatar.
I saw 2012 on DVD the other day (another over-hyped, huge-budget hollywood movie), and all I really took away from it was this: I was right in not seeing it at the cinemas.

I think Blade Runner still takes some beating, if we're talking intellegent sci fi, it's still one of the most beautiful films to look at, it's a fully immersive world, and has as many philosophical questions as the Matrix. Is Deckard a replicant and if we're created in gods image and we have created the replicants in ours, does that then make us gods compared to the replicants, as we're there makers. Subconciously, they are striving to be us, emotionally (the photo's), the longer life span and trying to strive for all this and not be persecuted for it. The question of Robots with emotions opens up so many questions and Blade Runner touched on that at an interlectual level, other films like I Robot wihich touch on the same subject fall well short in comparison.

A Scanner Darkly, Pi, Gattaca, Sunshine, Ghost in the Shell..... Don't nobody ever say that sci-fi is a genre lacking intelligence...

As far as TV sci fi, i think Battlestar Galactica and Caprica are a cut above the rest for treating it's audience with a bit of savvy, and are the bench mark at the moment for all sci fi programs on TV. Doctor Who falls well short I'm afraid because i think it's trying to aim for too many different age groups. I think it's a problem in general as far as British TV is concerned, anything like Doctor Who, Robin Hood, Primeval etc etc, is always made for the family slot in a ratings war, hence what may have been conceived as a good idea for a program, suddenly has to fit in all these boundaries because it's pre watershed. Why don't we make our own version of something like Defying Gravity aimed at an adult audience to be shown after the watershed?
Answer:- It cost too much money, and people want reality phone in TV shows hosted by ridiculously overpaid presenters, and more soaps per week...
