Yes a nice break for me Mr Nutter. Hope your mums OK.
Spent 3 weeks listening to new soundz, including the New Porcupine Tree double CD which is excellent. Also got the new Dream Theatre Double Cd, I think this band are awful but there is always one good track on there and there was (an instrumental version of one track), so recorded that one and took it back and got the new Joe Bonnamassa DVD live at the Albert Hall and the new Gong Cd, superb !
But mostly had fun with the two new Ozrics live shows that are floating about and 4 new Allman Brothers shows that a good friend sent me.
And then my boiler broke again and needed fixing, bah !

Large Hadron Collider update:
I read today that it is now proposed that this machine will never work because the Higgs Bosun particle is an impossibility, therefore the universe itself interferes with the machine when it's turned on and it then sabotages itself in case it produces this elusive particle. This theory will fail next month when it is turned on again and if it works, but if it blows up again then the theory stands (it could also be a million others things too).
This is getting weirder every month.

Large Hadron Collider update.
Well they fired it up and yes it broke again, so either the theory outlined above is correct or something more interesting is happening. The fault was traced this time to an electrical relay where a crusty Baggette had been deposited. So it seems that the machine sabotaged itself from the future with the sandwich of destiny..

Got the Shpongle DVD yesterday and watched it before going to bed - it is absolutely mindblowing!!! ;D For me, on a par with just about every Ozrics performance I've seen. I've seen their name mentioned before on these pages, so fans - splash out right now (there might be problems with US DVD players though). I'm loving the new album too. Apparently Twisted is hanging by a thread financially so if we want more Posford work we've got to actually pay for it, rather than stick to downloading...

I dreamt last night that I saw a sign at my local pub that ex members of Pink Floyd was to play there. I phoned my French friend who now lives in the States. (It is he who introduced me to O.T.) He told me he and his wife was to be making a trip to England and would be around to see this. He asked me to find out more detail, would it be Gilmour and Mason. So I phoned the pub only to be confronted by an answering machine. I asked if I could be phoned back. I was woken from my dream by my phone ringing. I jumped to my feet and was making my way to the phone, it took me a second or two to realise the phone had stopped ringing.......you plonker....... the phone ringing was in my dream.

Dominic I would like to ask how many times have you performed with Ozrics. I've seen O.T but 7 times. I was at Eastern Haze. Wanted to know was that your kit or did you borrow. Sorry that you had a bit of trouble.

hello there... twice, once at the eastern haze festival and once at balans club in istanbul. i only wish that the balans gig had been recorded cos it was the complete opposite of the eastern haze one. i had so many problems at the haze, for the first half of the set i literally had white noise coming through my headphones, then the headphones stopped working, and my kit broke! it was so frustrating cos my family were in the crowd. i had to play coily without a click track for most of the track. bit of a nightmare really! but istanbul really was good, a proper ozric gig, really fun, played some of my favourite tracks and they all came off really well, that was so much fun actually, eternal wheel sounded great, so did pyramidian and coily, and splat. disdots was epic! only wish people got to see that one instead of the haze gig. still, sploosh! was fun there....

i might add that in many ways its a good thing the haze gig went so wrong for me, cos oliver is such an amazing drummer, way way way better than i am, and he plays the tracks so beautifully. its great knowing him and he fits in so well that i am just so happy... i cant wait for the next studio album though, cant wait to hear oli playing on it, will be so awesome. i mean, have you heard his version of coily? its in another galaxy!

Despite you guys headlining it seemed you was given little time to settle in order to beat the curfew. It must have been but 10mins after Space Ritual that you was playing.
Just to let you know, I did still enjoy ;D

well i bought this double compilation cd called 'spiritual worlds' bearing the explanatory 'ethno chill out and shamanic beats' on the cover. despite the mega cheesy title it contained some great tracks by shulman (first came the stars), shpongle (room 2 om), binah (crescent suns) and celtic cross (khatmandu) and thus i was introduced to the beautiful world of psybient and simon posford's genius work outside hallucinogen. haven't looked back since.
