hi shaggy whats the bass story , ive been playing with a pick recently you get a real diffrerent tone from it what do you reckon ? i heard that's what all the old rock n rollers did in the 50's-60's because they were guitarists too so they just were used to the pick . its good for heavy metal stuff too , alternate picking . cant wait to hear your new riffs ...

Roly sometimes played with a pick, One of Roly's bass heroes was of course Helmut Hattler of Kraan (and Hattler his side band) and Helmut always uses a pick. Another picker is Lemmy, in fact I don't think it would be possible to play Ace of Spades without a pick.

kirk, i was playing bass yesterday and now i have a blister on my finger , i knew i shouldnt of left my picks at home . a top tip i have learn't recently is to press really close to the fret wires, as the notes produce a clearer tone and you reduce the risk of fret buzz .
oh and i hope shaggy is ok , he has a good heart you know !
