I tried to have a listen to the downtempo half but it was too, erm, Merv-like and I was in the mood for some more melodic stuff, so I gave up after a couple of tunes. Been pretty chilled the last couple of weeks. Hopefully I'll be able to appreciate it when I'm in the right mindset.

if you ever have enjoyed static before then you will yes - it is great stuff, although my 3player tends to skip rob smith and steve hillage cos they don't come up under an "eat static" search...

Nick Toone - Circles of Silence. Dolmen at the moment. Beautiful. Anything else in the pipeline under your own name Nick? Will check the Heavy Relic BC page when the album finishes.

Ed's Bits & Unreleased and Mushroom Destiny... a mixed bag but there's some good stuff in there.

Hawkwind - Space Ritual. A fine mess, with Lemmy's bass the lead instrument.

Mirror System self-titled. Hillage is brilliant with or without a guitar strapped on.

Waterfall Cities. The title track suits the spring weather here and the whole album connects '99 to today with its timeless appeal. Xingu and Sultana live made want to have another listen and I'm enjoying it loads. I'm sober and it's giving me a nice warm buzz.

I wouldn't expect much activity if I were you bucketpod. There's hardly anyone left here. Apparently most formerly-active members here have moved on to Facebook. Not sure which page to be honest but others here can probably direct you there.

I don't have FB either. It's definitely OK to do as you please. I look here very often hoping there'll be a new interesting thread so if I have anything to say I will. I don't listen to much non-electronic music anymore to be honest, but maybe I will have something to say.
I used to be a classic heavy rock and metal fan, but these days it's mostly psychedelic downtempo and old school goa/psytrance. I do still enjoy the occasional metal song or album, but I hardly ever listen to rock outside the Ozrics or maybe Pink Floyd.

To each their own, maybe you'll end up digging something I post. I always find myself going back to this, listen to it more than anything else I own:

Just seen a handful of tunes off Zeppelin's Celebration Day video (for the first time) and it's much more enjoyable than I had expected. Will probably watch the whole thing soon.

Yeah, although I prefer early 70's era live Zep, I was pleasantly surprised by Celebration Day, quite good I must say! Huge fan of down & dirty, "sloppy" guitar players like Page, Neil Young, James Mankey (Concrete Blonde), even Iommi & Buckethead can sling the slop from time to time lol. I absolutely love this show though:

Great show!!! Ozzy sounds killer, even though he's singing different lyrics at times & the band is in top form:
