i dont want to keep commenting on my own thread, but damn ive listened to this a bunch of times now, and its freaking awesome... It's like what OT should be and then tour with this lineup-- It feels very fresh, but maintains the legacy with Ed and Joie together..
If the new touring OT was Ed, Joie, Silas, the flute player (ive seen her in the FB vids) , a drummer and a percussionist! that would just be so freaking unreal .. I realize there is no drummer on this particular vid, but a lot of capable people could fill that seat..
I'm really enjoying this, i dont want to say it feels lik an updated OT, because all the music is timeless.. But it will say it feels VERY fresh and current, while totally upholding the legacy with Ed and Joie at the core.. The energy on stage...there is no tension.. its so welcoming.. i just need more of this in my life

I've said it before, maybe not in the same words: No one does noises like Joie. No one. He just makes me smile every time I see him play. I'd love to see a 2-hour gig, regardless of the line up.

Joie, Joie and always Joie! It's criminal how undervalued he is, the true maestro, so good to see him back, for this at least.
Also, flutist is (probably) Saskia Maxwell, Silas' (musical) partner.
Btw, my eyes are old and bent, is there a drummer behind or is it just a pre-recording?

Pretty sure it's billed as Ozric Tentacles Electronic for that reason - it's an electronic set with no drummer, although possibly it's pre-recorded drums? |

Yeah great to see Joie back on stage with the Ozrics again, agree he makes the best noises, have always thought that! Shame there is no drummer anymore , wonder what happened there, seem to get through them it seems , anyways thanks for posting  |

Yes I agree, it definitely adds something having a drummer, if they're doing it right. I do miss that.
It must be tough though, keeping a band together with a drummer when you can barely tour and probably make very little money. I'm amazed they've survived the pandemic times. Maybe it's a temporary thing, but in a way it seems like a logical extension of modern Ozrics as they have become more "electronic" to go down this road.
