Thanks for posting.
I get the interviewer is a fan (and that's better than someone who doesn't care or do their research) but I really wish he'd talk a bit less. I'm already 8 minutes in and Ed's barely got a word in.
[edit] it gets better

If you managed to bear with him you'll know there's a ton of production tips in store, as well as some stories from way back when. I was pretty annoyed and did skip too, checking the search bar until I saw Ed moving for more than a couple of frames. The interviewer does let Ed finish his bit before asking him the next question.

Indeed you're right. This is the kind of interview that I would have dreamed of back in the day...

It did give me some general insights, especially how big a part chance has played in recordings. However large parts of it were more relevant to musicians/producers like yourself Dan. I imagine you hanging from Ed's lips as he was explaining all that stuff.

Yeah it's probably more of a musician's/producers interview, very well done. To be honest I am not so much in sync with Ozrics music as I was in the past, but it doesn't mean I'm not still curious about how Ed approached making the stuff and the differences between now and then.
Reminds me I have to go back to Space for the Earth. First listen it really didn't grab me like Shimmer Into Nature did...I did like that one.

That was a great interview once it got past the first 10 or 15 minutes. I hadn't realized Ed was so hands on with almost every aspect of the recording process back in the early days. I did laugh when the interviewer asked if he let someone else do the mixes, and Ed looked horrified

yeah me too, he definitely feels strongly about mixing his own stuff. I guess it makes sense when you have a vision of how it should sound.
