That's excellent news. I must admit I didn't expect it to materialise so soon. Looking forward to the new tunes and finding out if there's a band behind Ed.

Cool tune. Not so distinctive on first listen but that's been the case with a lot their releases initially. They ALWAYS grow on me.

ToTS didn't grow on me. I am curious about this album though as I liked Shimmer Into Nature.

WOW, BLOODY ELL!, i cant believe this board is still going.
Well still listen to the Ozrics and i liked Ed's Shimmer into nature and both of Sila's offerings that i cant spell.
Got to admit, Technicians took a few goes for me to really get into it and now i'm glad it aint their swan song, coz i thought PM was much better.
Cant wait for the new album, i like Hum curr... Think its a return to form, it seemed to give the guitars more air to breath in their solo's and for me it had bit of a Mooncalf vibe to it.
Does anyone know the current line up of the band?

Does anyone know the current line up of the band? That is a good question.

I think we'll have to wait until the album is released to find that out.

Does anyone know the current line up of the band? I think the best answer to this questions is: Ed.

Good news and it does sound like a return to form. Really liked Shimmer Into Nature too...so glad Ed has really gotten back into making music and it feels more organic. I bought the new Silas and Saskia short album, good stuff. They have good musical roots.

Ohh... this is good news. I have been wondering what the band (Ed?) was up to. I am only 1 minute into the video, but I can feel myself being refreshed. VERY excited for this new album. [EDIT, after hearing the new song in its entirety]: this is some good stuff. I am now even more excited.

It has that more organic 90s era Ozric feel. Ed's guitar, as always, is primo.

Thanks for posting Yiannis. Great to hear that there will be some drums on the album and it sounds like a good lineup. Jon, wow didn't expect that!
I must admit I was a little underwhelmed by the single, but now knowing who's on the album it's suddenly got my interest again.

I am intrigued by the fact that it will only have seven tracks. That usually means there's going to be a lot of variety. I'm hoping for something as varied as the Curious Corn to The Hidden Step era. All the guests are pretty cool too.

I've just ordered the Turquoise vinyl, naturally. Great guests with the original cassette-era snare used by Van Gelder being the pinnacle. Of course, Gracerooms featuring is also a bonus.
Hoping for something special.

Does anyone know the current line up of the band? Looks like Ed, Silas, Belazs for sure? The album also features Joie Hinton, Nick Van Gelder, Jon Champignon, & Paul Hankin. Wow.

Love the sound of this lineup! Glad to see past Ozrics joining in again, as well as Gracerooms. Pre-ordered my cd. Really looking forward to this!

I have very high hopes for this album based on that lineup. The fact that there are only 7 tracks also makes me hope that at least a couple will be extra long "journeys"...

1 Stripey Clouds 6:37 2 Blooperdome 5:34 3 Humboldt Currant 8:57 4 Popscape 4:50 5 Climbing Plants 7:05 6 Space For The Earth 7:36 7 Harmonic Steps 6:35

Ah well- I'm still hoping the sum will be a great as the parts would suggest

Yep, timings don't mean that much and they're not exactly short tracks anyway. And this is a personal preference but I'm glad the album isn't too long. I think somewhere between 40-45 mins is the sweet spot for length.

I had my first listen last night. Stellar work as always although it sounds more like the recent solo/Nodens material than Ozrics.
Need a few more runs through to get to grips with it I think!

Two listens in, and looking forward to many more! If the gigs that are planned for next Spring actually happen, I hope at least one is properly recorded and released.
