I mean, like, these days. I hear Ed has gone to England. I hope it's to work on a project and that he'll be back. Is there a followup to TotS in the works?

The band is on indefinite hiatus. Nodens Ictus is Ed's priority atm. According to Kitty he's working on an album but it hasn't been disclosed under what name. Facebook is a much steadier source of information than here. Try 30 Years of Erpsongs.

40 ish and too old to be arsed with FB?
No, I don't know so just guessing... I think there was probably more of a range when there were more active members.

I'm 61. I was just curious about the age range. I'm doing a blog post about them. I hadn't listened to the Ozrics in several years. now I can't get enough. I have most of the studio releases - just ordered Vitamin Enhanced, but I have most of the rest. and a bootleg from YT. So, I have plenty keep me happy. I'd like to see them once tho, in person

Good music is ageless and so it makes us who listen to it. Hope you enjoy Vitamin Enhanced. It is rough around the edges in parts but the quality of the music more than makes up for that.
I've never seen them live either, what with being in Australia...

I am 60 years old seen Ozric Tentacles 27 times and awaiting next tour. I see loads of gigs and concerts I have three booked till May waiting news of Fleetwood Mac and Lianne La Havas of her I am a great fan she is talented. I've seen Elton John, Black Sabbath, Depeche Mode twice and folk singers Kate Rusby, Seth Lakeman and blues guitarist Chantelle McGregor. I believe these was all in 2017 and as my age continues to grow it does not stop me. I've had heart surgery and cancer and I work two jobs 70+ hours a week .

The only Fleetwood Mac I like is Peter Green's and I have all of that. My most recent concert was Bob Dylan in 2016. But we're going to see Reverend Horton Heat and Unknown Hinson in early April. 4th time for RevHo. first time for UH. I'd like to see Weedpecker, Dead Brothers, Flat Earth Society, and several others. Saw Reverend Peyton's Big Damn band open for RevHo. GREAT show.

Welcome, Kevin! I can't answer what is going on with the Ozrics as a band, but in case you don't already know, Nodens Ictus has a new cd out and Silas Neptune does as well. More here: nodensictus.bandcamp.com/silasneptune.bandcamp.com/I am not a Facebook user myself but know there is a "30 Years of Erpsongs" Facebook page that has occasional news on it and I hear that there is mention that Ed is working on a new solo album.

It would be a debut solo album actually, as we've never had one.

Wow, congrats to Grace Rooms! It was here that I first heard about them. So, has anyone heard the new Nodens Ictus? It's great to get another release from them. But, a minor quip, why include "Chickens in The Mist" -- basically identical to the one on Spacelines? I can hear some minor differences, congas, no babbling voices. But for the most part it sounds exactly the same, like they they did a note for note rendition with the same instruments (or it's a remix). Seems like an odd choice. Granted it's my favorite song from them, a classic. Another reason it strikes me as odd is that last year I discovered the live archives and picked up Live '89-'91 vol 1-3 and Club Dog. Highly recommended, sounds amazing -- given it's from an underground band still in the age of bad low budget live sound. Anyway, volume 1 has "Chickens" on it. I was looking forward to hearing a live version - yet it is exactly the same as Spacelines. Meanwhile, the four releases include three versions of "The Eternal Wheel" and they are very different, all worth getting. So it's not like they weren't jamming things out. Anyway, just some thoughts on what is otherwise a great new release.

Thanks for mentioning the US summer gigs.... looks like the infrasound is Ozrics live PA set (assuming Silas and Brandi?) .... not sure about the other fest, just says “Ozrics”.... Good to see live dates listed.

This is from the 30 Years of Erpsongs Facebook Page, posted by Rob Tester:
Greetings. There seem to be a lot of queries regarding the band’s future both on stage and in the studio. There may be some changes occurring behind the scenes and I’m sure we’ll be the first to learn of any updates in the future. I would ask everyone here to exercise some patience and let whatever is happening happen. It’ll all come good in the end. In the meantime we can look forward to Ed’s solo project and give the band as much peace as possible. Any posts pestering band members for updates will be removed. Much love x
I am kind of curious about the the new solo album...

I read that. Hopefully a line up is in the making.
I'm curious about Ed's album too, I want to see how different it'll be from Ozrics/Nodens material.

Hello all,
It's me again. Been a few years away from the message boards, but have never lost my love of all things Ozric-y. Divorced in 2012 and since then found another love and been exploring some other aspects of life.
So, Ed is back in Britain? Seems OT is on hold, then. Heard rumor of a proper solo album coming our way, good to hear that.
If you remember Sparky from the old boards, give me a shout-out. Would be nice to re-connect with you guys who remember the old days.
Joel

Hi Joel, glad to see you here after all this time. I don't think there are more than a handful of people here though.

Thanks for the welcome, yiannis! I know many folks have probably moved on, but I still recognize a number of people. Hope all is well in Greece.

It's OK here, at least it's not too hot. Have you seen Nodens recently?

No, unfortunately. The last time I saw the Ozrics was maybe 4-5 years ago, they played at the Higher Ground here in Vermont, with the Ed/Brandi/Silas/ Balazs line-up. If Ed is doing the Nodens thing, who is he teamed up with? Silas? Or is Silas busy with his own stuff?
