Not much else to say really. Apparently he died while playing a video game, a couple of days after finding out he had cancer. Never got to see him live. Huge loss for rock music.

I stopped following Motorhead in the mid-90s, but he sure was part of many great songs, at least from Space Ritual onward. He was the last of the real, universally accepted rock'n'roll icons.

He was an integral part of my youth and funnily enough, it was Silver Machine with Hawkwind that got my attention.
A true rock and roll legend.
White Line Fever, the book that circulated among the psychobabblers was a mighty fine, informative and captivating read, well worth the time. Not sure who has the book now, though.

First time I saw Motorhead was early 90's afterwards I stopped following them, last summer one of the many reasons I went to Hellfest was to see Lemmy, like I knew it was for the last time... dissapointing performance, he looked and apparently was very tired. But only seeing his figure on stage, so imposing it was tremendous just to see the legend standing there. RIP man.

saw Motorhead at Middlesbrough Crypt in 1977. Managed to go backstage after the gig and Lemmy gave me his last Embassy regal, great guy and a fantastic bass player.
