Hi everyone,
i try to reconstruct the Opening Melody of "Eternal Wheel", yet without success.
Its getting close, but some notes doesnt fit. I can whistle the melody by myself, but in the MIDI Editor on PC i cant set the proper notes.
I also tried to detune OSC in Softsynth, but i think its not the right melody. Resolution and Speed fits allready.
A try of phonetic spelling *LOL* : DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA -> DA-DA-DA-DA-DA-DA -> DA-DA -> DA-DA -> DA-DA -> DA-DA
Does anyone know right Tabulature, or Notation??!? MIDI would be great.
Thx ;D ;D ;D

Great! Thanks a lot I´ve imported your .midi and tunded it a little bit up! Then with Synth1 (Free Synth, search the web for download) and some modifications (less attack in VCA) in the included Patch called "Arp-Harp" i got very close to the original. Ive also tried to emulate the original delay with the integrated delay in Synth1. See attachment (eternalwheel2.MIDI)!! I think, it still needs some improvements, but im very happy with the actual result! Lets see how far we could get! Love Attachments:

Ok, i think i´m a step further ;D - tuning is right now - removed some notes - added velocity to some notes! (very important) also very important: - realized that there´s a second pattern going on, namely with deeper notes, adding some "low-end" to the melodies mood! VERY VERY Important For the Delay i use a free VST called "SHUTTLE-ECHO_EXTENDED1.2", because with the onbaord delays of reaper i cant get the desired Delay-FX. I´ve posted the result as a Audio-File (if it doesnt playback, use the free vlc audio player). Attachments:

Ah yes, and very important: I realised that its very important panning the dry melody to the right and the delay (wet signal) to the left! For that i´ve created a bus/track only for the delay, where i set the Track with Synth1 as a Receive. Track with Synth1 is panned 100% right, the bus with Delay 100% left I can remember reading an interview here on the ozrics website where Ed mentioned the importance of symmetry in the mixing process.

Here´s the Note-Grid, showing Velocity Hi, It has been a while since this post has been replied to. I have a quick question. I have used the previous midi file for eternal wheel (the second one). Is sounds spot on. It seems to be missing some bass notes. If you listen to the midi file it dosent sound the same as the audio file above. Is there something missing? I am using Logic 9 to modify the sequence and its internal synth engine. Thanks in advance, James

Hey there, a total long shot but do you still have the updated MIDI file that you used to create the MP4? it sounds great!
