well as long as were talkin about shirt colors, why not print some on tie dye shirts? that would look pretty cool id say. I really like that erpland shirt on black with just the lanscape on the front on the tour dates on the back. is that still available?

better news indeed! Not much advice i have for the non-profit stuff, pretty complex but you can google each step and the answers can be molded to how ya wanna do it: leagalzoom and charitynetusa have nice step by step procedures, good luck indeed!
As for the shirts, you cant really go wrong....with all the album artwork plus random artistic talent splashed within the group, they'll be really cool
cant wait for the live gig post, cheers

Book and box set will be a phenomenal effort - if you can do something unusual with the box set (not just a bog standard selection of album tracks) that would be a bonus. Don't mind black t-shirts - seems like the only colour that I don't look ridiculous in these days

I for one want to reprint all the old T-shirt designs and have them available on the site, what do U-lot think? If there were a couple of retro designs available I'd snap them up yesterday, especially the old "classic" logo with the spiky interlocking characters. Also cd availability, I'd definitely put a few purchases through but would rather buy from a source that funded the band as directly as possible, or this non-profit idea, rather than amazon or ebay. CDs are rather expensive online at the moment too, as if they're out of print. What else can I add to the other words above wishing you all well, I can't imagine how awful its all been. I hope its not crass to mention it but how bizarre to have left the UK because of the rain and consequent flooding at the mill only for this to happen. Just crazy.

And on it's way down here and respect for the high res files. No real prefs on the T shirt front. I do adore the Swirly Termination artwork. How about a Pongmasters hand spraying twinkle dust. I cannot agree, £6.00 - £10.00 is an absolute bargain for music, the : £ ratio is high IMO. I am listening to The sacred Turf right now from the Italy live and it sounds good, thanks !

well - i would be happy to buy fresh copies even at those prices if i thought the money was going to help the band rather than some cash-hungry middlemen... as has been stated above - the / £ ratio is very high - even at £150 a disc i wouldn't want to miss out!

You are not looking hard enough, confirming what Bestbass says I just spotted most those titles less than a tenner even at Amazon and they are new. Arborescence is at least listed here: www.gemarecords.com/index.asp?itemid=1769

why not get them from www.burningshed.com as it is the most direct funding source for the band (ie it helps them to rebuild their home and studio more than seeking cheaperst from amazon etc) ;(

Because some are out of stock and some are moaning £10.00 is a lot of wedge for incredible music.

oh cool, didnt realise burning shed stocked ozrics, although Pungent is out of stock. the gema records link looks good, thanks. I was just observing that a lot of the places I'd looked were charging over £20 per CD.

Any and all shows regardless of quality. I was at the meltdown, my buddy had his initiation to the inner circle. The throbbe was incredible!! All through the uncertainty.

I mentioned it before, but I'd jump at the opportunity to buy one of those Paper Monkeys mugs that feature in the liner 'notes' for the album. Also, I don't know what the sound quality's like for the recording of the gig you gave @ the Spring & Airbrake in Belfast but I'd strongly consider buying that whole album if it were made available. When I was discovering Ozrics for myself in the mid-90s, I remember buying Jurassic Shift in cassette format and, inside the cover (made from hemp, I believe?), there was a mini-booklet detailing the available merchandise that you guys were selling at the time. I used to look at it for days, wishing I could buy from it but not having the savvy at my young age to go about doing so. I loved those old mini-booklets. You produced another 'shinier' version of that mini-booklet for a later release / set of releases. Why not do something like that again? The idea of doing miniature versions of things has always appealed to me for some reason (and not just booklets - lots of things could be miniaturised in the same way I'm sure!) I know that we're firmly gripped by the lure of technology now but having things you can hold in your hands takes some beating. Don't know what you guys think. If I come up with any other ideas, I'll be sure to pass them on for you to ruminate over. You never know, maybe they'll be Chewier than the aforementioned

I have to agree about the tie dye T shirts as well as black, white, green etc. How about some long sleeved hippy tops too, like jon used to wear on stage , instead of just T shirts? I recently bought a bag and am very proud to show everyone I am a fan of this amazing band so the more merchandise showing the bands name/album covers the better in my opinion! More of the old logo ( the spikey one) please, its really striking and unique

having things you can hold in your hands takes some beating. I couldn't agree more. Downloadables are fine but anything physical is better.

I haven't been on this forum in a while, and news came to me about this very late when a friend phoned me up and told me about it. I had a look at a news report about the fire, and skimmed through this thread. It's very gutting and I wish the Wynnes well. I hope the worst of it is over now and that the Ozric spirit has not been dampened such an experience. It's great to see that Brandi kept everyone updated - good on you Brandi for being so spirited in a time of what must have been a crisis.

It's been a few weeks since Brandi last logged in here, so I hope things are still slowly coming back together for the band. No news is not always good news... especially under their circumstances. Anyone have an update?... 'cos it's too easy to worry about them all. BTW, Any live gigs on the horizon?

the spiky logo is excellent but i'm afraid not all that unique - other bands in a variety of genres had copied it now... i have a friend who has hardly heard of ozrics but who proudly wears his "urban decay" t-shirt at me whenever he can (it looks like a ripoff of my now decaying black/white/red ozrics spikelogo shirt...)

Any news? Do the Ozrics have access to a computer anymore? Do they have a permanent place of residence? Must be difficult times. Hope they're all ok.

Yes I have been wondering, I reckon they are hardy souls but the shock of a situation like this could take a while to sink in, seriously hoping some balance is with them and the music is healing some wounds. I am hoping they are holidaying and re-charging batteries.

Hi All, I am very sorry for dropping off the map yet again. I know, I know I must stop doing that. . . The last month has unfortunately been much more difficult than having our home and business burn down. . . However I am very happy to say that today we finally have Eddie back from the hospital. A few weeks ago we brought him to the doctor for what we thought was food poisoning, at which point the doctors sent him straight to ER. Although very rare in people over 20, Ed had a lethal case of appendicitis, and before we could get him in it had burst. He had severe blood poisoning and spent a nail biting two weeks in intensive care fighting the infection. Thankfully he's tough as old boots, and I am happy to say it seems he should be back to normal in time for our spring tour. The doctors and nurses could not believe how he could still be joking with them, despite being told when we checked him in that we'd be lucky if he survives the weekend. He is going to need some recovery time, he lost a lot of weight, and as you know he didn't have much to loose in the first place! He actually weighs less than I do now, but Silas and I are obviously on a mission to change that as quickly as possible. The important part at the moment is that he's actually sat on a sofa ...(his first welcome home present was a sofa, we'd just been sitting on the floor before that because we don't have any furniture anymore) ...anyway he's sat on a sofa, drinking a cup of tea, smiling, and right now that's about all I can ask for. We're a bunch of ragamuffins at the moment, but this phase will pass, next year marks the 30th anniversary of Ozric. We will start again, hopefully with India in February. Eddie sends tons of love to you all, and promises there is a new album on it's way as fast as he can back to it, ...which he of course, can't wait to do. Thank you all for your support, all your messages really help. I'm sorry we have not been able to get back to them all, we will try over the next few months to catch up. Also I will try to keep things updated here, now that things are on the mend. It will get better from here, we have too many things we want to do to give up now. Much love ~ b xx

Goodness, one malaise passes, another follows. Happy to hear Ed is OK again. Rise above it all you guys with a triumphant return in 2013. On all fronts - but health first.

Great news Brandi, but was a real shock to read about Ed!!! When i saw you in Birmingham in May Ed sure was letting rip on stage & it must be his fitness & positive outlook on life thats pulled him through. Im sure all your fans-old & new will breath a huge sigh of relief after reading your post. 30 Years of the Ozrics, that sure is a biggie,i hope you've got lots of things planned for next year. I Myself am going to try & get to as many live shows as i can in 2013,i carnt wait for the tour to come round again. All my good wishes to you,Silas,Oli & of course the main man himself!!!

Oh. My. God. Talk about one thing after an another. Now the fire seems trivial. Just.. ..and plz don't be rushing out to tour or pulling all-nighters in the studio before Ed weighs at least as much as Brandi !

Good grief. That's terrible news, but glad to hear that Ed is on the mend. As a big fan of sofas myself, I would advise you not to move more than 3 feet from it over the next few months. Make sure the acoustic guitar stand is within arm's reach and when you're ready, start working on that unplugged album I always wanted you to make. Very selfish of me, but as soon as you're fit enough I know you'll be thrashing away on that black and green thing, stepping on that pedal and screeching out them high pitched notes that only bats and whales can hear (cross reference - Waterfall Cities and Pongmaster's Throbbe).
I've only spoken to you once, when I was drunk out of my skull, but get well young man and all the best to the band. x
Oh, and thanks for keeping us updated Brandi. If it's not a personal question (said in an Eric Idle voice), have you put weight on? It's the only reason I can think of for Ed weighing less......x

Crikey. Extremely glad and thankfull that Ed is well and smiling. Hooray for the sofa! Somewhat bizarrely, I know a good friend who I've always said has a bit of a resemblance to Ed, and the very same thing happened to him a few weeks ago. What an odd and unpleasant coincidence.
What a year this has been. Roll on 2013 please!
