A friend of mine who lives in Lafayette told me about this fire- sad, sad, sad. I hope it can be contained before it reaches your home. Best wishes.

We all hope and pray that your house and all the ozrics music is not lost. What a disaster that would be... At least Bobcat mountain court is not listed on these places where houseus are lost or are any of the streets near you, so it sounds like it missed your house.. Good luck... The following is a breakdown of homes lost to the fire by area: Soldier Canyon 0 1 Missile Silo Road – 1 Cloudy Pass – m1 Picnic Rock – 1 Pine Acres – 5 Stratton Park – 21 Poudre Canyon – 17 Spring Valley – 3 Old Flowers 1 Whale Rock – 40 Paradise Park – 12 Tip Top – Uknown Rist Creek – 7 Davis Ranch – 51 Laurence Creek/Redstone – 0 Buckhorn (CR44H) – Unknown Stove Prairie Road – 10 Rist Canyon – 8 all the best....scott

I happened to catch this on 7News on the 13th. Very surprised when I saw the name Brandi Wynne pop up on the news! She's interviewed and Ed is shown gathering their stuff. Short segment right at the beginning of this clip. www.thedenverchannel.com/video/31189733/index.htmlHope you guys are OK!

I knew they were close to the fire area, just wasn't sure how close. Horrible fire season here in Colorado this year, the lack of rain, heat, wind, and beetle kill isn't helping any. Here's to hoping that theirs in one of the homes that is spared.

I'm no cartographer, but the fire line looks to be only about 1.5 miles from their house.
Hoping that everything is ok!

Update: The fire looks to be about the same distance, and their area still has evacuation orders.

Hi All,
Day 7 of our evacuation, and still no closer to going home =P . . . It's surreal getting ready to leave tomorrow for the Jibberjazz Festival, without even getting a chance to be at home, we were meant to have a week off (to get Coily into Ed's sampler, grrhh, I really wanted to do that) and instead we are now going to head straight out to the gig . . . bloomin' weird. See you in sunny Philadephia ! love & light ~ bx x ps- for those of you looking at the map, our mountain is Green Mountain, just north of Sheep Mountain

Thanks for the update! I know some folks were wondering you were making that fest. Just saw on CH7 some residents of Gladier View are allowed back, but others are not? Also, to those following, Red Flag Warnings posted for the next 32 hours here. (conditions are ideal for wildland fire ignition, and rapid propagation). Record heat forecast for the weekend. Uhg.

I'm trying to find out more, but I'm sorry to report that the latest map shows the fire area INCLUDES their home / studio.
"RED FLAG WARNING issued for noon through 10 p.m. Sunday. Yesterday's spot fire across Highway 14 near Sheep Mountain due to hot, dry conditions and wind gusts to 35 mph, resulted in an aggressive push to the northeast and an additional 10,000 acres burned in the Glacier View area. Structure protection resources activated sprinklers before being forced to move back to a safe area due to fire intensity."
No information yet on structures burned. I sincerely hope that their home was able to be saved.

Fak. So it's possible that there goes the Ozrics archives then. I hope at least they insured the house/studio and they aren't homeless and studioless.

We're all still hoping for the best... A heartfelt "Thankyou Brandi, Ed, Silas & Ollie" for giving myself and everyone at the MadSummer Meltdown an incredible set last Saturday night... a real tribute to the phrase "The show must go on". I was honored to be able to present some visual dexterity to an amazing series of musical themes on stage, despite the events simultaneously occurring on your mountain... you showed true grit! I'd never seen you guys live before, (tho', I've known of you for decades in the same circle as fans of Nektar).. and your set blew me away whilst inspiring our visuals. Thanks for coming to PA, thanks for the music, and thankyou for being so very down to Earth.... All the best... as there IS a silver lining to all of this mayhem. YOU ARE survivors! Please Brandi, I know that this board is the least of your worries right now, but PLEASE keep us informed here, as WE care too... Mick Brockett.
