Does anyone know what some of the former members of the band are up to eg. John Egan, Schoo, Rad, Metro, Zia and Tig. It sounds as though joie helps out when he can and Merv's back in, but apart from re mastering Pyramids on mars, whats Seaweed up to these days as well. For me, i see the names on the sleeves and I've seen most of the you tube stuff, but it seems when people leave the band, they disappear right off the radar. One last thing, there don't appear to be to many band photo's apart from live shots, if anyone's got some they can post, they would be great to have a look at, say from the from early days, right up until today. Cheers guys.

Most of the people you mention there are still very much active on the music scene. Jon Egan can be found playing various flutes with Dream Machine, Zubzub and his own project Champignon. Dream Machine (1 album out - one on the way!) play psychedelic, progressive space-rock, Zubzub (2 albums out and new EP on the way) is Zia's dance project (which answers what he's up to!) and Champignon play a variety of Irish/Turkish/Indian folk tunes, along with some acoustic, spacey-jamming numbers and the odd Ozric tune to boot! I also play in all 3 of these bands with Jon. Schoo is busy producing other artists from his studio on the Isle of Wight, where he has also recorded a new album with his own project (pretty much a straight-ahead rock-pop album - its brilliant, by the way!). He has also recently been on tour with Courteny Love as her drummer. Busy boy is Schoo! Metro was drumming for Dream Machine, until recently, but now focusses on other bands closer to his newfound home. I don't know what Tig does these days - he went on to play for Jamiroquai, but I don't know what he is doing now. Rad I saw a few months ago and he's ok and enjoying famnily life, but I don't think he's doing anything musically right now. Seaweed I've not seen for some time, but last I heard he was still active with his fabulous Moksha project. You'll find most of these bands on MySpace if you want to check them out - an easy place to start is www.myspace.com/mindflux2012 which, of course, has links to all the bands :-) Hope that helps :-)

Cheers mate, thanks for the info and the link as well, the Dream Machine stuff sounds right up my street and the Champignon stuff sounds like it may well could be. Its amazing how artist like yourself and the band members, Brandi, Ed, Seaweed all post here. Before when i bought the albums they were just names and photo's, this website plus the outstanding music is what makes the Ozrics so unique. Stuff like Pyramids on Mars for instance, i would of never of heard of, if it weren't for this site, now i'm looking to get there album in a couple weeks. So once again, thanks for the reply and i'll checkout the other stuff as well...Cheers

Some additions: Seaweed was involved in the first (and so far only) Dream Machine album, where he contributed synth and keyboard overdubs. He also did all the additional synthy stuff on Zia's two Zubzub solo albums. (Things people seem to have forgotten...) He's released two of his own albums (Moksha 1 and Patchworks), remastered Pyramids on Mars, is working on the release of Moksha 2 with Quiller, but is mainly working on producing music for TV documentaries and doing library music in general from his own studio. He is also collaborating with local music producers. I could mention more, but that's probably enough for now.

Nick's a great bloke, I knew him when he was the Ozrics drummer and a nicer bloke would be hard to find. I always liked his drumming which was very Jazz inspired. Nick used to use a wooden snare drum (also commonly know as a Military snare), the drummers out there have probably sussed that though. After Nick left the band he formed a band called EarthNicked or Earthniched with some other drummers, I saw them once and really enjoyed them. He also used to drum for cornish band Webcore when he was in the Ozrics.
Nice to know he still plays.

Hehe - we might be on in the chillout area, but don't expect it to be too chilled ;D Sure, there'll be some zub-dub and blissed out moments, but its a 2-hour set, so there'll be quite a range of beats and tempos We're also playing the Marquee (now in Covent Garden/Leicester Squarae) in London for those down Sarf! Friday 2nd November
