I never met the fella, but he posted a lot a few years ago, in this sites heyday when it was quite busy and he was always going on about different bands he was listening to and we chatted on this site quite regularly, nearly everyday. Its sad to hear he's left us and joined the ether.
Funny thing is that as a fan of the Ozrics, you can find yourself pretty isolated, you tend to be the only one who's into them, everyone else you know in your day to day life, is like, "the Ozric whats", but here is where we found each other, and there aren't many of us in the scheme of things, so when one of us goes, it feels that little bit more acute... (there's probably a better way of saying what i'm trying to say).
I remember he was a big Kate Bush fan, which made two of us, Before the Dawn being up there with some of the best live albums ever released, i hope he got to see her at Hammersmith. Anyway, i'll raise a glass tonight, now i know... see ya later Sabs.
She smiles, faintly at the distant tolling bell, and the still falling rain.
Thanks for posting that Oz, otherwise i would never have known.

Saw Loreena McKennitt with the wife for the first time last Thursday in a rebuilt ancient odeon with phenomenal acoustics. It was magical. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. The band was incredibly tight and her voice completely unchanged. God bless her.

Nice one. I saw Herbie Hancock recently. He might be 79 but you wouldn't know it. And he rocks a keytar...

Saw Stanley Clarke live two weeks ago, he is in top notch form! He has in the band a really amazing pianist, a 23yrs old prodigy from Georgia, totally blew my mind.

I'm just thinking Erpland would make an amazing piece of 3d art. In any medium.
