I have heard Quantom Fantay are to do about 4 gigs this year in the UK... I hope to be there. I thought they was a really brilliant band when I seen them at Zoetermeer when they supported the Ozric Tentacles

I posted a long interview with Ed and Brandi on the Technicians thread, where a new Nodens album was mentioned and it didn't get any reactions. I thought at least some of the people here might express expectation about it but it went completely unnoticed - or no one has anything to say anything about it. I've let TotS rest for a while. I will listen to it again a bit later, hopefully with fresh ears. Mentioning TotS, it got 5/10 in the Greek Metal Hammer mag, more or less the same as everything after Curious Corn. Somewhat unsurprisingly. It seems Greek metalheads want them to play like in the early 90s and/or get some of the old members back. Something tells me they're not the only ones.

Yes I like the new album TOTS but I have to agree that 90's Ozrics was the best.
Sorry Yiannis that I did not listen to interview as it is a bit long, when I find time I will. I bet you are excited with the news of Nodens Ictus

I agree that at least in terms of studio output, I enjoy the 80s and 90s more than what's followed but at the same time I'm glad they've changed their sound a bit and, at least for me, they've kept it interesting. I'm not sure I would have waited for each new album so eagerly if I could predict what was going to be on it 100%. Even stuff like The Yumyum Tree, which I struggled with for quite a while, turned out to be much more rewarding than a possible 90s rehash in the end. I must admit here -again- that nowadays I much prefer to listen to synth-based music rather that rocky stuff laced with synths though.

So Yiannis what is your opinion of Sploosh as a track?

As I have said before with Balazs on the drums this is now a favoured track.........SPLOOSH.......damn awesome

I like it, and even more so live. I've seen it at every single gig I've been to though, and I can't quite remember much variation apart from the drumming. Schoo is my fave Ozrics drummer, so I enjoyed his version the most I reckon. Haven't witnessed Balazs (yet?) apart from YouTube videos, but he seems very controlled compared to Oli. First time I saw Sploosh live (12/97 I think) I almost had an orgasm, I must admit.

So I see that Jon is to do gig with Quantom Fantay I would love to see this but can not. I do hope Q.F do a proper tour would like very much to see them. I talked with Pete Mush at Alkmaar and he is also a facebook friend. I did see this band when they supported the Ozric's at Zoetermeer a couple of years ago and thought they played really well

Jon seems to be in a better form than ever: These guys are really good live. I wish I could see a gig of theirs.

It is with great saddness that I report the sad loss of a great person Steve ' Sabracadabra'. I only found out last night and visited his facebook page. He will be missed , he wrote one truly great piece on this site about his meeting of the band. R.I.P Steve

After Beezer's immortal archives, computer wizardry and infinite patience gave me back the Tabor Mt Theater 2010 gig I'd lost in the crash, and listening to Waterfall Cities during my power walk this morning I've been binging (well just a few tunes but still) on live Ozric videos and I've realised I really, REALLY want them to play Ahlandi Bol live, even if I only get to see it on YT.
