You read my mind Oz, that was a great little venue, your right there with the band, it's like Ozrics in HD. I'm gutted they're not there this year, coz the bar upstairs had a good atmosphere before and after the gig as well.

I dreamt last night that I saw a sign at my local pub that ex members of Pink Floyd was to play there. I phoned my French friend who now lives in the States. (It is he who introduced me to O.T.) He told me he and his wife was to be making a trip to England and would be around to see this. He asked me to find out more detail, would it be Gilmour and Mason. So I phoned the pub only to be confronted by an answering machine. I asked if I could be phoned back. I was woken from my dream by my phone ringing. I jumped to my feet and was making my way to the phone, it took me a second or two to realise the phone had stopped ringing.......you plonker....... the phone ringing was in my dream. Old story I thought was funny especially the bit about phone ringing

Yaaay! I'm going to see Seb Taylor do a Shakta old-school set on Friday! The poster says Shakta - Silicon Trip, that'd be awesome. And it's even a free party! Now all I need to be happy as far as music is concerned this year is for the Ozrics to announce a show in Athens.
Anyone on the board going to Shakta?

would love to... but i saw them twice in the summer of 2001. at the last ever (?) Return to the Source @ Brixton Academy... and at Solipse festival in Zambia. he was A-M-A-A-A-Z-I-N-G!!! You will have a ball, Yiannis One of the last gigs i went to was Paul Di'Anno... still a great singer, but puffs and wheezes between singing and has a problem with his mobility, so it seems. While I'm here, I gotta say that my gig of the year so far has been Zion Train. It has been about 12 years since I saw them last (in 2001, the same summer as the Shakta shows... was a cracker of a summer that was!! )

Came home from Athens a short time ago. Shakta's gig had quite a few peaks but when he did pure psytrance for a while, with little to no melody, I lost interest. There were moments of pure bliss though. I can't believe I managed to stay up till 6:30, with no more than a red bull. The promoter said he'll bring Seb back next April, this time as Kaya Project, which I will probably enjoy a bit more.

After reading the Kate Bush lookalike story, I had to add my own.... True story guys... This happened in the middle of the dance floor at the L.A. Troubadour Club in 1975. Nektar had just played the Shrine Auiditorium and we had all gone over to see the Average White Band, friends of Taff Freeman, our Scottish keyboardist, play their final set. The lighting was subdued..... Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a gorgeous chick with long black hair rushing toward me.... She grabbed me, threw her arms around me, then laid a solid lip-lock on my face.... It was just about then that within her intoxicated mind, CHER realized that I wasn't Greg Allman! Due to her state of mind, I'm sure Cher doesn't remember it now, even tho' she was embarassed by her mistake... (I DID look a lot like Greg back in the day), She apologized, I wanted more, she laughed, said "sorry" again, and she fled back to her table with Martha Reeve (Vandellas). A fleeting kiss, however the memory of that moment will remain one of MY lifetime favorites.

Didn't make this but I find it a bit funny. I'm sure a dog's eyes would be as wide open if it heard Ozrics.

As Yiannis has said so good to have you back Watermill....... I've missed your whit..... I know you missed the tour last year but you must come and see Ozrics play this year as Balasz is a great drummer and really is a fantastic addition. Also you mentioned Islington as not the best venue as it was not intimate but have to say last year was such an improvement on the year before and was one of the best gigs I've seen. So my Ozric friend here's hoping that we meet up soon.

Hi mate,
I'm bit of a Kate Bush fan, call it my guilty pleasure. Hounds Of Love and Aerial being my favourite album's of hers. I reckon that's gonna be a pretty good show, all sold out now though, I'm sure it'll be out on blu ray or DVD not long after. I saw Steve Hackett live, doing all the old Genesis stuff, that was good. As far as the last Ozric gig i saw, i just felt they may of had bit of an off night, the whole atmosphere of that venue was flat, which was a shame, coz the Margate gigs were...well there ain't words Oz, is there mate to explain how good those gigs were.
It was that gig in Islington, that made me decide to take a backseat with the Ozrics over the last couple of years, i think i might of just got myself Ozricked out. Sometimes, no matter how much you love a band, they can get stale to the ear, Jurassic Shift, Eternal Wheel don't move you like they did before, and so i decided to purposely not to listen to em' for awhile, and then for awhile turned into a couple of years. But i got the Vitamin Enhanced boxset now, and I'm beginning to fall back in love, and listening to the music with a freshness, that's making it all sound new again. I'm rediscovering the Ozric Tentacles and it feels good.

While I stayed in hospital overnight after biopsy there was a young nurse and it was her first time on ward, she was trying to make an impression on everyone. She asked the head nurse was there anything else that she might could do. So head nurse said check on that young lad over there he has been very quiet since he was admitted. The young nurse went over to the young lad and asked was there anything she could do for the lad....he said to her are my testicles black........the nurse said pardon...and the lad repeated are my testicles black. With that the nurse pulled the linen down pulled the lads pj's down had a real good check of his tackle and pulled everything back up...she said to the lad...that all looks fine...the lad said for a third time...are my test results back.
