Joie Hinton W-30 and Jurrasic Shift Area Synths Question

Hinton plays this swirly twisting sound on a Roland W30 touching just one key ( i guess, see 7:23)


Anybody knows if this preset was sample-based or a programmed sound from the synth engine of the w-30?

sounds to me like most synths::: if you jam the res up and the cutoff down then squirt it through an arpeggiator and an LFO (maybe on a second filter stage or something) then have the speed of that LFO and / or arp patched to a stick or wheel..... easy to set up ,, no need for a preset,, Santa
