finding and believing - cathedral in a suitcase - as falls wichita - i hate pat metheny - so very un-ozric, or occasionally a bit ozriccy by coincidence - hah! bleh

I returned the book.but will buy it again sooner or later. I have a few lead sheets in other books and will start with them...

Pat Metheny played on Joni Mitchell's live album 1980, some amazing guitar solos, great memories of that album, played it a lot at the time

i think pat metheny is really for the people whose favourite aspect of ozrics is their instrumental-skills. personally his composition has always left a me feeling a little bit lost and in very familiar-sounding territory, nothing very strange about it, no real direction of energies TBH , and no subtle sonic-decoration... when it tries to take me on a journey it's always sounds a bit like a soap-opera theme music. BUT he Can play with a great deal of obvious skill (like steve vai and joe satriani with the distortion and speed removed).

well - maybe like porcupine tree it works better when you are under the influence and in fact requires that to seem interesting... maybe not.
