I can't release the Nodens croydon show, it's half Merv's tracks which he went on to sell to other labels publishing and all, it's up to the other labels, I could contact them and draw up contracts for each track but no thanks. Maybe one day but probably not.
Thanks for the offer on the tapes front, sounds interesting, I'll probably get back to you on that one in a bit at the moment I've quite a bit to be getting on with.
I'm not quite sure why you feel you need to attack me on the board I really don't appreciate it. What goes on with the management of our band is not really any of your business. I work my arse off all day long to bring as many royalties in for everyone who has ever contributed to the writing in this band as I possibly can, and it's a **** off a lot more than anyone one else on this planet has ever done for any of them. Ed, Silas, & I work all day 12 hours a day every day no weekends off. We work from 8:30 am to 10:30 pm on average. I've lost so much money on this band over the years, a hell of a lot more than I've made. The shop is currently averaging an embarrassing $17 per day, and at the moment we spend at least 5 hours a day working on it (some times more) Which honestly really doesn't make it worth doing AT ALL. (There you go, are happy to know? With 30% of that one might be able to sponsor a starving child in Africa, which I am considering, if I were to just donate all the funds from the website then I could declare myself non-profit and not have to pay taxes. =) The only thing that makes it worth doing is seeing loads of happy people excited about new music, then we wake up and see posts like yours and honestly mate, it makes us want to stop ever trying to do any of this at all.
Ed has never been anything but nice to you, why do you want to make him feel horrible ? My husband is the most wonderful and generous (to his own detriment) man I have ever met, and anyone else in his position would not have given away even a tiny percentage of what he has over the years. But hey, it's not like he wrote these tracks or anything, why should he have any say as to what happens with them? Obviously you should have the final word as to what happens with his tracks, if you think it was ok for matey to release those tracks then obviously we shouldn't question your authority on the matter, right? . . . Sorry, but I can't help but think the number 1 most important question in this conversation is "Did Ed want them to be released?", outside of that I don't think it's really up to any of us to say what should have happened with them. It really upset Ed that they were released, and regardless as to whether people enjoyed them or not, it is ultimately ED's decision.
I don't mean to rant, it's probably me ranting at several other people through you. (Orpheus for one =) But I don't undermine the work you do, and I especially wouldn't without knowing the facts. Ozric Royalties were a mess before I sorted them out, and I'm constantly working to make sure they are all in place and everyone gets the maximum they can out of every claim and work I register. For all the members of the band that have been, Ed has always been paid last and least, which is just messed up but that's the way it goes when you run your own business.
I would also appreciate it if you do not share this information with others but I thought I should let you know some of these things if you are indeed feeling that circumstances may be different. No hard feelings though, eh ? x x ~ b
BTW - with this new system we have I can send you files as a gift and you can download them whenever wherever . . . is there anything your interested in on there at the moment.
