Hi guys, just wanted you to know I'm just about to set off for the opening show at the Fleece tonight and then going to charge back over to my hometown of Southampton to see you at the Brook tomorrow. CAN'T WAIT.
Love you Brandi / Ed and hope to be able to meet for a chat after one of the gigs as I really need to know how you put Toka Tola together. There's definitely a VCS3 in there but what else?
Regards
Ian

hi , I assume you mean setlist...
in Southampton last night :
dots invisible carpet og ha be sunrise jam white rhino oi astro cortex ozora jam high in the sky xingu sacred turf coliy sultana detri eternal throbbe
Great gig , good vibes , og ha be sounded very raw , awesome just like from the 80's. Brandi seemed to have trouble with one of her basses, but got sorted in the end. Only new tune was Ozora jam which was a tad like sunrise jam , a little disappointed not to hear any more new stuff though. Eternal and Throbbe to end were great , they seemed to enjoy themselves on stage. Wasn't that keen on Mantismash set , very much influenced by Bluetech I would say. Actually quite boring , same sound for 60 minutes but a couple of tunes got me going , very trippy , Remix of Eternal wheel was interesting. Do I go to the Nodens show ?!

Coily and Astro Cortex? My brain would have exploded. Do I go to the Nodens show ?! Well, daah? Of course! How many more chances do you reckon you'll get to see Nodens?

Thanks for the set-list. That would have probably been my next question. I actually meant who where the couple of other guys playing with the main band? In Bristol Ozric where fire. I loved them.

Would I be right in thinking that would be......Ed Wynne..Brandi Wynne..Silas Wynne.. Balasz Szenden on drums.

Obviously, but with the addition of percussion both nights and someone on an EMS Synthi AKS at the Fleece for added Bubbles and other effects on Wednesday. Have to be honest that the Bristol gig was absolutely out of this world and the better of the two nights. I'm off to the Manchester gig at the Band on the Wall next week but cannot get any more time of work so I hope they can fit some more gigs in whilst they are over here.

Yeah the guy on the synthi looked familiar but I can't place him.

Hey, that's quite possible, though I didn't know he was still playing with Ozric.

I think he has guested with them at some stage since the 80's, maybe early 2000s??

Yes was Tom Brooks bubbling away, he has played with the band a few times since 00's, and he looks younger every time we see him Paul Hankin is providing excellent percussion, though the stage was too small last night in Swansea so he couldn't play

All four gigs were brilliant, as usual. Roll on Thursday and Friday for Chester and Birmingham. Thats me lot for this year, unfortunately, cocked up all me holidays so no time off. Also doing the Nodens' gig, still plenty to look forward to and they'll tour next year when the new album comes out.....
