These are great clips. Oolite Thank you for sharing them. I like Steffee sharpstrings Jazzy phrasing Gong has always had a bit of a Jazz Fusion undercurrent. I will look forward to seeing this group play. As a trio they work great too,A bit like Dr Phibes in that respect.There is a rawness to a power trio which is very free form and appealing. Saying that I am sure synths would also work a treat.There is a gentleness to Joie Ozric's playing which recalls the golden age of ozrics.But in this context would make for very exciting chemistry.
Festivals are excellent.But another really important venue for phychedelic bands is the "All Dayer."
Three or four bands in a cozy venue on a sunday day. from say 12 noon to 7-8pm would be great for a cup of tea.
I can think of loads of bands who would be interested. And this long daytime context would be perfect. It could allow for long sets, and inter band jamming.
