Hi Kirk, there may be some Ash in a 2700 but "maple and a variety of exotic hardwoods including Zebra and Ash" is what the catalogue states. If you want to make me an offer for your RGT, PM me please.

Oh yes, it's the back of this guitar thats ash. I've never heard of Zebra but Iaaaww Iaaw to know better The RGT is Ash body and bubinga and wenge thru neck (never heard of those woods before) if you google an image search for the RGT 220A lots of folk have performed paint jobs, some are amazing. It's becoming a very collectable guitar, in the main because it's great wood and not basswood like on other ibbys. We can natter about a trade or sale on Fbook if you ewant. Still not sure I want to sell it, Am buying a new Gibson SG with burstbucker pickups next month..

Bubinga is quite a common fretboard wood on higher pricd guitars nowadays. Wenge, however, sounds like what a cockney might pay another cockney for a shooter.

Or the source of a post-coital itch. 'You alright there Susan?' 'Yeah...just my wenge is on fire'
Tone sufficiently lowered.

"Shaping the Pelm" always reminds me of druids with stone age tools shaping a large wooden totem or something.

Strange seeing Ed with the Torero in the thread with vids from the new tour. Unsuprisingly still sounds very much like Ed! Who'd a thought it, eh?! And my 7string Zebrano Im hoping you will be able to see the ozricy inlays Thanks for turning me on to these, btw. Not heard of them before, they look great. If they sound anywhere as good as they look then... Well. Love this;Did you design the inlays on yours then? You can specify your own with a build?

Hi Pete. The Luthiers name is Duncan Wales and he is a thoroughly nice guy ! He bends over backwards to make sure things are right. These guitars sound AMAZING !!!! Bare Knuckle pickups as standard ( organic recipe ) coil taps that work lol He has four models to choose from but can and will build you anything you can imagine ! I chose the inlays myself, it's actually Buddahs nose lol but being an ozric nutter I couldn't resist :-)

Cheers Adam. Been pondering going the custom route for a while. Seems to make more sense to me when you're getting into that kind of outlay, as opposed to an off the shelf jobbie. In fact those Organic guitars seem to be the perfect evolution of thoughts I had after first seeing a really rare Ibanez model called the AFD40. Kinda like an old Warwick bass or suchlike. Curvy goodness!
Anyway, the really important question right now is; Is Ed happy with the PRS Torero? Still looking for a Jem, or is that done with now?

What happened to the Woodgrain Artist? It didn't go down in the fire did it? Hopefully it's just been retired to a nice cozy studio. It's been around the block a bit! Makes me wonder if it's still on the original frets, tbh. Would love to know the answers... For want of a better term, it's a fairy iconic guitar to some of us. Hopefully I didn't imagine/dream the recent footage of Ed playing a Herman Li sig. Whether you're a fan of the endorsee or not, that's a fine instrument. Sabres are fantastic. [/geek].
