Not heard this for a few months now. I have always rather liked this album. A few ales and playing in reverse order, its going well...

Checking some old ground that i by-passed a few years back, due to constantly listening to the Ozrics....which i still do of course, almost!
The SHARE A CLAM WITH THE ULLULATORS album on right now.
Loving this. I have obviously not given this the attention it deserves. Always catching up me...

BEYOND THE GATES OF ULL now.
This sounds even better. 'Simply Concious Dub' is just a must Ooh and what's this, 'Whales In The Grass'? Super stuff - what some lovely noises...

Hi Sabs, its been awhile mate, i've only just returned from a hiatus myself. Sometimes you can loose ya mojo. I followed the yellow brick road, but got pissed off following, so i veered off cross country, but never too far astray from the old yellow brick road. Anyway, check out Temple by Colour Haze, you'll probably check out more after that, .

YIANNIS : Cheers for re highlighting Yogs' posting.
Showing my lack of knowledge here, there are two other albums i have seen mentioned elsewhere, BANGING BONES and YET-NAM-LAI. What's the crack with these then?

Yeah, just watched a version of it on YouTube. Nice, though a little worn these years. Could hear KYUSS and BEAVER from a few years back. Thanks again though.

The track JURASSIC SHIFT. It does things to a man, so it does.
A seriously corker of a song. A top 5 all time OT track, surely.

...yet PTERANODIN, the following track on the album, has to be one of my top 5 least played tracks. It lacks ideas and plods aimlessly for an age Yeah, hark at me...

ETERNAL WHEEL on now from 'Erpland'. If cornered and rushed into picking a OT song, this would be it, i'm sure.
A monster song.

SCARY TELLY. This is really hypnotic. I adore that continuous type keyboard loop that is happening on here. There is a dark menacing touch to it.
(I must list the other songs that have this kinda thing happening, cos these too i just find so powerful). Love the darkness of it all.

Totally agree, especially about the menacing touch and the darkness. That one stood out from the first listen.

....and moving from dark and menacing, to quirky and something for a grey day alone on a moor. The rather bizarre but quite superb AIRY AREA.
So many tracks that get the mind wondering and wandering.

amazed how much bad press pteranodon is getting here... i seem to remember there were times when the most drifting and directionless tunes were a relief and full of subtleties that you couldn't find elsewhere int he more turbo-charged tracks...

Face Of Melinda from the album Still Life by Opeth, one of their softer accoustic ones that builds, beautiful track, sort of graceful in a way. Still really digging Opeth at the moment.

A truly smart band. The opening to the track HEIR APPARENT is monstrous. It blasts you from one end of the copse to the other. I liken that supermassive opening to WAR PIGS, by the mothership.

Just dug out a copy of Nodens Ictus live at Phoenix 16/1/03. I have nine tracks with no titles - though yes, im aware of some tracks.
Anyone have a complete track listing for me? Much appreciated. I'm listening to track three right now which is just superb...
