No East Coast Gigs, Whaaaa!, I'm crying like a little baby, or as some french might say, Tabarnac!!!! which is not a happy word, I was really hoping for anything in a couple hours driving, or even 5 -6 hours wouldnt have mattered. Was going to kind of plan a nice trip around this, But now I am just dazed and confused and what the heck do I plan now, I am not mad at the Ozrics I just lost the wind in my sails, about possibly seeing a live performance again. and the Rocky Mountains well thats just a tad too far from where I live. Have fun whoever gets to see them this year, Cause it really looks like I won't Boo hooo hoooo! (Lol)

Thanks for the great link ups. It seems extra nice to get the variations between Friday's and Saturday's set more than we usually've got from back to back nights. I like that... some great effort apparantly shows through there.

Hi Brandi, hey Ed! This is John, the short, bald guy who worked your stage at Wakarusa. Never heard your music before, but thought you totally rawked it! Let me know if you come back through KC -- I'll work on your stage crew for free. Peace N Love, - john, the radical one

Oh yes birdyhop, remember your name well. I'm still here up in Minnesota watching the cumuliform clouds pass on by. Back in the 'olden days' around the turn of the century and before I was not married with children quite yet and hung 'round here more often. I come by from time to time and it's good to see some familiar names here. I still can't believe the Ozrics were in my backyard and I missed them...
I do have all the recent releases from the Ozrics and am enjoying them...but about 10 months ago my cd collection was stolen from my auto...yeah I know...don't keep your cd folder in the car. In any event I've had to re-build my collection but most of the Ozric cd's were first to be re-purchases...found some good deals on amazon's 'new and used' offers. And with my beautifully upgraded sound system in my car I can really fly off into the ozric-zone at times...I still focus on the road of course but it sure sounds nice.
I'll check in more often. See ya!

I'm so psyched. Not only did I see Ozrics 2 gigs in ColoRADo this year but they are coming back for a one off gig (I think) the day after our Thanksgiving holiday Friday Nov. 28th at The Fox Theatre Boulder again. Yippee. ;D

Please pardon the ignorance of a newbie but for the life of me, I can't see a tour listing. Can someone point me in the right direction as to 2009 tour dates for North America (ideally, Vancouver!)?
Is it staring me in the face some place obvious?

hi matey, there are no dates for '09 yet, there may be some provisional dates under ed and brandi's belt but as soon as things are official dates will get out into the ether. when we know they are most certainly posted on this here message board and when mike picks up on them he will list them in the gig section of this site. .. and of course as always ozrics.co.uk has an up-to-date gig list.

It's wild to think of the Ozrics as a local band now.. it was four years from the time I was turned on to them until I finally got to see them live...

Will the Ozrics be coming to the US in 2009? That is the question? I have only just discovered the Tentacles as of the last year or so and now am a huge fan. Does anyone know about the new album and is there going to be a tour? Let me know out the in the space world.

Yes, the U.S. Of all the places in the world a family of musicians could move to, the middle of the U.S.A. was chosen. Could it be the vastness of it all? Perhaps the high altitude? The cool college town vibe? Having spent time in Ft. Collins, Colorado, I can tell you that other than the college, there is not much going on. Perhaps the perfect place to perfect music? Personally, I live in Denver, Colorado. About an hour drive to the home of Ed and Brandi. I've been a fan of the Ozrics since the mid 90's and have only seen them live a few times, and only when they have been in Colorado. All I can say is "what a trip." As far as up-coming gigs go; they will be playing Cervante's Masterpiece Theatre (literally right behind my house) on Feb 21'st (I will do them sonic justice with my soundboard wizardry!) and in March, we are all waiting for the dates......until then!

It's not confirmed yet, and not set in stone, but I was just informed by Brandi that there are shows scheduled in Mexico and Chile in April. The new album is scheduled to be released April 21st. After the festivals in South America, perhaps there will be some east coast gigs lined up in May.
As for March, perhaps a few, nothing confirmed as of yet. I'm sure Ed and Brandi are enjoying being home-bodies for a while.
Until further notice, peace
J
